Staying overnight at Wahniangleng is not recommended without a local guide. While the place is safe, it lacks basic facilities like food. You would need to bring everything you might need for the night.
There have been negative reviews from visitors who stayed overnight. One group brought their own tent and were initially told they needed to pay ₹500 per tent. However, upon leaving the next morning, the caretaker asked for ₹500 per person instead, without prior notice. There were no facilities or food provided, and they ended up being charged extra.
